December 11, 2008

Someone asked me where I got my ideas. I said that I was thinking of things that kids might want to see... kids like rabbits... and hip hop.

December 10, 2008

This one is from my final Reference Class. I think it easily reflects how I feel about it... ok... well one part does... but which? or no part does. Does it? Anyways, that Elvis robot will replace all dentists one day.

December 4, 2008

Not much really to show for myself, except for one shaky robot... just shaking.

December 3. 2008

Thanks to the girls who did their presentation that day. There were skits and costumes. And that sexy cat, he wasn't there. He was in my heart... of hearts... of hearts.

November 28, 2008

Don't look now, but the the date is wrong. This was a guy in my class who somehow became something in the water with airplanes.
And, so... I defeated the tyranny of a blank page... with mostly nonsense...

November 27, 2008

This was the first day in a while during which I did not use my laptop in class. I know its feelings are hurt. Whatever. I went to class without computers in the past...

November 26, 2008

In the morning I was poetic... I even created a sustainability plan...
By night class I was wheels in wheels in wheels in wheels...

November 25, 2008

I guess... I guess i should watch my spelling more... an eclectic morning...

November 13, 2008

I'm think that reference is think that reference class must be a weird hell... clouds are an evil rain? WTF.

November 12, 2008

Yes the archives are a precipice... oh and I read that they found a new pyramid. Nice.

November 11, 2008

I was thinking apocalyptically(not an adverb) today.

November 7, 2008

I kind of lost the rhythm of this blog. Had a break, got busy, and now I think I'm getting my swing back.

Special Edition #2 or Kitten War (Maybe): Part 2!

Because I can, I took the stuff from the last post and upped the creepy.

Special Edition #2 or Kitten War (Maybe)

If you bug me enough, I'll do some things, sometimes. So, ok. Here's what happened:
You may recognize this from the corner of one of the full page mega-doodles in September. Some people liked it...
And I tried to develop it...
Here are the nice cats, drawn up and looking cool.
And some prettified words.
Words and cats together.
And finally some textures to make it seem cooler. Is it? I don't know.
I didn't have class this week, but the doodle blog will return next week. Anyways cuteness abounds at Kitten War.

October 22nd, 2008

I've been thinking too much about water... I think I need a big vacation...
And some close up detail. Maybe they're gonna be in some coastal remake of Dirty Dancing. I need a break. I'm taking a break.

October 21st, 2008

I decided that I'd try sketching people in class. They aren't anyone now...
The road from my eye to my hand passes through creepy... and crumb(somewhere)...
My mind's eye creates something less disconcerting.

The Days in Pictures - Oct. 16, 2008

It's like a barn yard reality show.

October 15, 2008

Zombie men will be no good as a reference librarian. Also, the axe/head thing is based on a true story(so I'm told... I elaborated a little... I think)
This one... hmm... i was thinking a lot about this comic strip I wanted to do... and the Strange Man (L'Homme Estrange) came out... also... white elephant stuff for Ross (Get it? WASP? heh heh!).

October 14, 2008

Today was the end of Stephen Dion's career. The giant democratis-bot has passed him by. I was poll clerking today... had a few idle moments.

October 12, 2008

I was sitting on an old bunk bed at the lake and trying to do my survey assignment. I did this. I'm told it's creepy. Science can creep people out.

October 10, 2008

Statistics... surveys... makes my head hurt...

October 9, 2008

It was a Thursday and I drank a lot of coffee. It got really random.

October 8, 2008

I feel behind because of Canada's thanksgiving weekend. Somehow cottages and county fairs limit posting. Also, I remember and liked tron...

The Days in Pictures - Oct. 7, 2008

No joke: the OED's word of the day was "picket line", not "dour", not "placid", not even "exegesis".

October 7, 2008

The library of congress: cobbled together by fools for fools.

October 3, 2008

There is a t-shirt design contest. It is on... WHAT! what... what? Anyways, I guess I threw in some instructions as to what to change... maybe I'll add more floating bespectacled faces. Man, it's wide open.

Oct 2 2008

RFID conspiracy day

Oct 1 2008

Management class... it was a level of coherency that disturbed us all... the theme of the class was conflict resolution.

The Days in Pictures - Sept. 29 08

Shofar, ahem, so good... that pun was unavoidable. At least it wasn't me who said it this time.

Sept 29 2008

Something about cataloging produces immense weirdness...

Special Edition... Or what happens to them doodles #1

This is the concept sketch...
Followed by some nicely drawn gals and gents done in my good sketchbooks

And thus I populated the foreground
And then some people for the background
People in place...
And then colour and text! Yay BookThug ( a publishing company where my friend works)!

The Days in Pictures - Sept. 26 08

The original calendar project was about counting down. It wasn't much fun to just work with the dates... so I'm now going to work with the OED Word of the Day. Look and learn!
